The Martingale system

The Martingale system

The Martingale is a betting system that is frequently used in roulette without people actually knowing it.

If you strip this system down to the basics, you will find that the player is required to double their stake after each losing spin.

For example, if you were to start with a unit stake of £1 and your first game was a loser, you would then stake £2 in the next bet.

The Martingale system can only really be used with outside bets which have even money returns. If you were to try and use it with individual numbers, you could find that could lose the whole of your bankroll rather quickly so check Unibet odds to be sure.

The reason why this system works well for even money bets is because in theory by doubling your previous stake, you win enough to cover your previous losses at the very least. If you stick with the system, you are expected to eventually hit a winning number.

In theory The Martingale does appear to be a smart system. As long as you have a bankroll big enough to cater for a few consecutive losing selections, on a lot of occasions you will succeed by using such tactics.

However, despite all the positives regarding The Martingale, you do need to be aware of the downsides of using it. If you get a real bad run of results on Unibet, it will force you to dig deep into your reserves. You are therefore running the risk of losing a serious amount of money in such a short space of time. Although you may think that a winning number will eventually follow, you cannot rely on this because each time you spin the wheel your odds of winning and remain exactly the same.
